Stole this from a movie that shall remain nameless.
Reappropriating it because it’s actually a song about our two favorite girls.

The first time it happens, they’re at the movies. It’s a Friday night and they’re on another date. Santana is pretty sure it’s their eleventh date—she’s been trying to keep track, but they go on dates so often now that she’s losing count. Her stomach is full of breadsticks and linguini, her fingers are wrapped around Brittany’s, and she feels a thrilling energy that makes it difficult for her to sit quietly in the theater. Usually it’s Brittany who’s restless and buzzing and fidgety, but ever since they started dating, Santana’s felt like a bouncy ball that never comes to rest.
I normally find a lot of things to complain about when I watch Glee. But this time?
“Are you crying?”
“It’s just that I’m really happy.”
Brittany loves all the little parts of being in love. Like, sometimes she opens her nightstand and pulls out the picture that Santana gave her a few weeks ago. It’s a picture of three year-old Santana on the Fourth of July. She sits on a sidewalk curb with a red hat on her head and an ice cream sandwich in her left hand. Her right hand is outstretched toward a small golden retriever and her mouth is open in delight.
When Brittany hugs Santana right after “Constant Craving” and tells her, “That was so beautiful,” and Santana says, “Thanks.”
It’s easy to miss, but you can tell through lip-reading that Santana definitely says “Thanks.” (You can also tell because Naya does that adorable little tongue thing she does whenever she says “Thanks” in an interview. Y’all know what I’m talking about. Perfect Naya is perfect.)
I think it’s Santana’s voice that gets me. It’s so soft, so loving, so tender that you can barely hear it. Like she’s speaking to the most precious thing in the world. Listen to it. Plug those headphones in and blast the volume.
